Around 2:oopm Sunday Joseph was still really sleepy and didn't want to eat. So the nurse checked his blood sugar levels and found them very low. The nurse wanted us to get him fed, but he was too tired and would not breast feed of take the formula. The little bit he had swallowed came back up along with lots of amniotic fluid that was in his stomach. It got in his nose and he couldn't breath. He started to turn blue so the nurse took him to the nursery and sucked the stuff out of his nose and mouth and took him to the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit. It was scary to have our little boy there but the doctors assured us that he was healthy and that he was there as a precaution. They hooked him up to a little IV with sugar water and put him under a warmer. He was sound asleep and after a while his blood sugar was up so breanna and I went back upstairs to get some much needed rest. 12 hours later we woke up and went strait downstairs to see Joseph. He looked great! He was awake and his eyes were open and he wanted to eat. Breanna helped him with that and then he fell right asleep. We are hoping to have him back with us by tomorrow. We will see what the doctors say. We love our little guy. He is the coolest! Click on the picture to link to our picture page.

He looks great! We hope he gets feeling better. And by the way, that was the last time you will ever be able to sleep for 12 hours. Actually make that 8 hours.
